Grace Church Outreach- Feeding the Hungry
It seems like every time you go to the mailbox lately, you are deluged with pleas from various organizations for donations to feed hungry people. The fact that there is such a great need is unfortunate, but you can do something about it right here at Grace Church when you come to worship on Sunday. It’s so easy it is often overlooked!
Look for the Outreach envelopes in the pews, and tuck a few dollars, or many dollars, or a check inside that envelope and put it in the offering plate when it is passed around.
The donated money will go to any of the Outreach Projects that Grace Church supports. Feel free to designate the project to which you would like to contribute, by writing the project name on the envelope or on the check.
You can help people as close to home or as far away as you desire!
- Kirk Care - Money would go to help feed the needy within the Kirkwood School District.
- Trinity Hot Lunch - Money goes to feed the hungry in the area of the Central West End of St. Louis.
- Task Force for the Hungry - The monies go to feed the hungry of our Diocese of Missouri.
- Episcopal Relief and Development - The monies go to feed the hungry of the world.
See how easy it is! Please give today!

Christ Church Cathedral Chair Campaign
The Cathedral has launched an appeal to replace its aging Narthex seating, including cushions and kneelers. They are half-way to their goal of 600 new chairs, through member and clergy support. They still have a need for 300 chairs to complete the program. Anyone interested in giving a chair, as a tribute or memorial, may do so for $150.00. The memorial includes a plaque, which will be part of the Tribute/Memorial display in the Cathedral.
Donations should be mailed to: Christ Church Cathedral, att’n: Chair Fund, 1210 Locust St., St. Louis, MO 63103. For further information, please contact Thomas Gardner: 314-231-3453.

Messenger
The Messenger Newsletter is now available on Grace's website and will also be delivered via email with the current link. Eucharistic visitors will deliver hard copies of the newsletter to shut-ins and copies will be available in the Narthex as well.
Candelemas Candles are now on sale.
The candles blessed into our congregation on Candlemas are now on sale to our Parish. These candles signify various things, depending on color, and are filled with the grace and blessing of our entire congregation. They are 5 hour long burning candles, and are available from Altar Guild at a cost of $10 each.
If you have a graduate coming up, get them a candle for ambition and creativity (orange) or a candle for success and idealism (purple).
If you know someone who needs a "lift" give them one for peace and guidance (Blue) or courage and energy (Red).
If you just want to let someone know you are thinking of them, try friendship (pink).
Someone needs healing, try white. Wish someone success, try green!
A Change In Our Flower Policy
Effective with Easter Sunday, there will be a new policy for the donation of flowers to the memory of our loved ones. As of that Sunday, there will no longer be "reserved" Sundays for flowers. ANYONE can donate flowers for ANY Sunday of the year. All flowers will be ordered by Altar Guild as we have a contract now with Kirkwood Florist. We will also be taking reservations for flowers to be placed in the Chapel. The new cost will be:
- $100 per Sunday for the main Nave
- $50 per Sunday for the Chapel
All reservations to be made to Altar Guild, with checks (due at the time of reservation) made payable to Grace Church. Please submit how you wish the memorial to read in writing. Rebecca Harrison is the Directress of Altar Guild and can be reached at (314) 791-7149 or by email at RHarri7176@aol.com
